Dirty In Your Shirty Challenge

Looking for something different and fun? Dirty In Your Shirty offers you just that! on June 10th, hosted by Fast Feet NY Running club, this race is designed to bring back true cross country races with obstcles to challenge your inner endurance and offer tons of fun and endurance. 
This 10k and 5k challenge is open to anyone and everyone willing to try the challenge. The Get Down, Get Dirty 5k will begin at 9am sharp and the Blood Sweat, Fun 10k will begin 10 minutes after. This staggering start will prevent confusion when the 5k race goes off on the looped course. This 5k trail will have a 1800ft elevation gain with natural obstacles like logs and river beds. Come prepared with extra clothes, socks and shoes as you might get covered in mud or water. A staggering start will allow the front runners to get a head start, but to prevent confusion and injury, the 5k finishers will finish to the right side of the finish. A line of cones will be places along with markers and signs to help. 

The 10k will begin shortly after the first race begins. This will be 2 loops of the 5k course.

Two raffles will begin before the race and continue until the very end of the race at the awards ceremony. 

The winners of the 5k and 10k will get to choose from a list of 5 charities in which the raffle money will be donated to as well as a homemade ribbon made by us truly, and a custom t-shirt (an order from will be available that day to ensure correct sizes and any customizing) Top male and top female of the 5k and 10k will also recieve shirts and ribbons. Second places will get a customized ribbon. Top youth under 16 years of age will recieve a tshirt and ribbon as well. Awards will also be given to the individual or team with the most creative uniforms, shirts, outfits, etc that fits the theme of Nature (i.e. Tribal warriors, rednecks, hillbillies, cowboys, fairies, zombies, etc.) Teams are more than welcome. If on a team, fill out the team portion when registering. Teams will be timed by the idividual times and not scored based off the positions off the team. In other words, it is not scored like a track or cross-country meet. Live timing will take place. 

The race will take place on property donated by Cotton Hanlon near route 224 by park station in Cayuta. NY. An actual adress will be distributed soon. An email with google maps location will be sent to all participants to help minimize confusion. Registration begins March 11th at 7am for individual sign ups. Special team offers begin March 18th at 7am. Fast Feet club members can contact either president for discounts on the race. Any participant under 11 years old will be free. Walkers who want to do the obstacles are welcomed as well. Registration will start 3/11 and end 6/3 Price will begin at $15 for the 5k and increase to $25 by 5/1. The 10k will start out at $25 and increase to $35 by 5/1. Registrants will recieve race wristbands i their race packets. Race packet pickup will occur on June 7th. Time and place will be determined as time gets closer. People can bring canned goods. A person who brings in 5 can goods will get extra added to their race packets. Same Day race registration will occur only if enough spots are available. If so, Registration/check-in will begin at 8am sharp. 

This race is hosted to help gather donations for a nonprofit. The nonprofit chosen for this race is the Twin Tier food bank to help raise proceeds for their selfless elf event to ensure success. We encourage local businesses to reach out to us for collaborations of partnerships or sponsorships. We are a club designed to help any organization, charity or business as best as we can. Volunteers, spectators and sponsors are always welcomed. Admission is free. Water and snacks will be available for purchase. Granola, bananas, and water will be offered for participants only after they complete their race. A food truck may be available for food that day.
